Community First Bank (CFB) Hires Chief Operations Officer

Dan Klahn is pleased to announce that Community First Bank recently added Troy Ruegsegger to the Executive Management team. Troy will serve as Chief Operations Officer. This addition to leadership marks a significant step in CFB’s ongoing commitment to improving operational efficiency and delivering superior customer service.

Troy comes to the Bank with 21 years combined banking experience. He began his career with Bankers’ Bank in 2002 and left the company as Correspondent Banking Manager. Troy will oversee all operational functions at CFB and will work to create more cohesiveness across bank platforms and support initiatives that are crucial to supporting the Bank’s mission. “Troy has a proven track record of driving operational excellence and innovation and we’re excited to see where his skill sets will take us,” Dan Klahn, President, and CEO.

Troy graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1995. He holds diplomas from The American Bankers Association in both Bank Operations (2010), and General Banking (2012), and became an Accredited ACH Professional through NACHA. Troy completed the Graduate School of Banking (2021) and received the Certificate of Executive Leadership at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Personally, Troy resides in Blanchardville, WI, with his sons Carter and Coy. Carter is a 2024 graduate of University of Dubuque in Dubuque, IA, and will be returning this fall for his MBA. Coy is a member of the Wisconsin Operating Engineers – Local 139. He is currently a second year Apprentice as a Heavy Equipment Operator through 1901 Inc. in Madison, WI. In his free time, Troy enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and supporting local youth sports.
